THE FAMILY BEHIND THE NAME

It is not only Andreas sen. and his son that make up this charming family vineyard, but also their wives, Ingrid and Petra Laible. The ladies of the house not only host the winetastings and manage the front of house, but they also handle the administrative side of the wine business and are well versed in all aspects of wine growing and wine-making. Ingrid and Petra also take care of the workers during harvesting and help with the hard work in the vineyards. Serving hearty meals is one of their passions, and during lunchtime which is the main meal of the day in Germany, for a short time the kitchen of the house takes over as the hub of activities from the cellar. After all, we are only a mere 20 minutes drive from Strasbourg/France, and people here in Baden also have a great passion for good food and wine! Lunch with a lovely glass of local wine is part of the tradition in this beautiful corner of the world.

For the two Laible children, Sophia and Benedikt, the winery is a great place to play. They love to welcome you as customers and help by packing the wine bottles into the boxes. Last but not least they accompany them to your car with a great enthusiasm!
